Aviators Richard E. Byrd and Clarence Chamberlin pose on the deck of the S.S. Leviathan. Chamberlin takes off from the ship in his plane and lands at Teterboro, N.J., with mail bags. Flyers Amelia Earhart, Wilmer Stulz, and Lou Gordon return from their transatlantic flight aboard the S. S. President Roosevelt. An Army blimp, the TC-5, lands on the S. S. American Trader, picks up passengers and mail and departs. The blimps, TC-5 and TC-10, escort the Roosevelt in anti-submarine maneuvers.
